Volunteer with Streetlight
Active since 2004, Streetlight is a multi-dimensional nonprofit organization dedicated to combating poverty and supporting homeless families and children in Tacloban City, Philippines, through education. Having supported these communities for two decades, including through the devastation and recovery of Typhoon Haiyan, the organization has a well-established presence within Tacloban and proven track record for inspiring and empowering young people.
They provide a broad range of education and vocational training programs aimed at providing young people with a space to develop, as well as the tools to make informed life decisions. These programs cover after-school support, computer competency, healthcare, nutrition, and a sports club. Additionally, they provide resources and support to community-led initiatives and provide children with the transportation and school supplies needed to attend school.
